Open Data License Agreement

This agreement is between the Statistical Office of Mozambique, here referred to as National Institute of Statistics (INE), and you (an individual or a legal entity that you are authorized to represent).

Your use of the data published on this Open Data Platform indicates your acceptance of the terms below.

Definitions

Data: Any media including audio, visual, video, text, graphics, or any other material that you can access through the INE’s Open Data Platform (ODP).

Value-added products: Any by-product you create as a result of utilizing the data in whole or in part according to the conditions herein provided.

License Grant

The National Institute of Statistics grants you a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to:

  • Use the data freely
  • Copy and modify
  • Translate and publish
  • Adapt and distribute
  • Create derivative works and value-added products

These rights apply for both commercial and non-commercial purposes, subject to the terms of this license.

Acknowledgement of Source

You shall include and maintain the following notice on all licensed rights of the data and where possible provide a link to this license.

You shall include and maintain the following notice for all value-added products.

This product was adapted from the Statistical Office of Mozambique’s information, which is licensed under the National Institute of statistic’s Open License Agreement.

Terms of use: This work is licensed under an open license agreement. It is attributed to the National Institute of statistic.

Limitation

This license applies only to Mozambique’s data published on the ODP and does not extend to third-party data, software, or source code.

Third-party data obtained through the platform is subject to separate licensing terms.

Intellectual Property Rights

Intellectual property rights that National Institute of Statistic may have in the data shall remain the property of INE. Intellectual property rights that third parties may have in the data shall remain their property. Intellectual property rights in value-added products, being any and all intellectual property rights recognized by law, shall vest in you.

Term

This agreement is effective as of the date and time you access the information and shall terminate automatically if you breach any of the terms of the license agreement.

Non-Endorsement

This license does not grant you the right to use the data in a way that suggests an official status or endorsement of you or your use of the data.

Disclaimer

Data are made available “as is” without warranty of any kind, including the implied warranties or merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. National Institute of statistic will not be held responsible for damages resulting from its use or interpretation including any consequential damage, punitive damage, direct or indirect damage or loss of profits.

Applicable Law

The agreement shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the Government of Mozambique.
